October 1-October 5

**Open House-Thursday, October 4th. 6-7:30.

Reading-Theme 1 Review Week-"It Takes Talent"pgs. 126-135.  Students will read the story daily and test on Thursday.

Vocabulary-genial, prognostication, stricken, dramatically, restrain, protest, feverishly, overcome, flop, spectacular.  Students need to study the words daily, and will be tested on Thursday.  Homework for this week will be for vocabulary.
M-Use each word in a correct, complete sentence.
T-Use at least half of the words in a story about your most challenging childhood memory.

Spelling-  No new words and no spelling test this week.

Language- Daily D.O.L. will be completed and checked in class each day.  Students need to study this daily, and they will complete the quiz on Friday.

Social Studies-Chapter 3 Age of Exploration
M-Lesson 1 (pgs. 84-87)  Read and answer questions 2-6 on pg. 87.

Reading-Theme 1 Review  There will be no new story this week.  We will be working in class to complete the Theme Review Test.

Spelling-  The words are review, and they will have homework with these.  No spelling test on Friday.
